Cummins ISX Dual Cam Parts — Engine Water Pump Section

Restore stable operating temperature and coolant flow on ISX Dual Cam (and select QSX) engines with components organized for first-pass selection. Choose the Engine Water Pump that matches your front-end drive: the 10-rib pulley version fits fan centers from 8.5" to 9.75", while the 12-rib option covers wider setups from 8.5" up to 20.25". If you’re unsure, count the ribs on the serpentine belt and verify fan hub spacing before ordering. Pair the pump with a fresh Thermostat and Thermostat Seal to lock in correct opening temperature and prevent seepage at the housing—essential after any cooling system service. Keep belt tracking correct with the Belt Tensioner matched to engine build date (2003–2014 vs. 2015-up); incorrect tensioning leads to chirp, glazing, and premature water-pump bearing wear. For cooling circuit hygiene, use Radiator Cleaner during flushes, and consider the 205°F Temperature Switch (1/2" NPT) for fan or alarm circuits that need a reliable close point. Finish the job with Silicone Coolant Hose (multiple inside diameters from 3/4" to 4")—ideal for high heat and long life—and secure each joint with the correctly sized Hose Clamps (listed by effective diameter ranges for precise fit). Typical replacement triggers include coolant weeping at the weep hole, bearing noise, rising idle temperature, slow warm-up, or hoses showing bulges and soft spots. Select the right pump, renew controls and sealing surfaces, and button up the system with matched hoses and clamps for long, leak-free service.
